Synvix is an independent daily news wire for the web. We report on politics, the world, business, technology, sport, health and the environment, and we aim to explain each story clearly enough that you can act on it.

Our mission

News you can use, without the noise

Too much news is written to be clicked, not understood. We keep our stories short, sourced and plain, and we tell you what we do not yet know as clearly as what we do.

Our reporters cover local decisions and global events with the same standard: check it, explain it, and fix it quickly if we get it wrong.

What we stand for

Four promises to our readers

The principles behind every story we publish.

Accuracy first

Every claim is checked against a primary source before it goes live. If we cannot confirm it, we say so.

Independent

Our coverage is not shaped by advertisers, parties or owners. Sponsored content is always labelled.

Clear writing

Short sentences, plain words and context up front, so a story makes sense even if you are new to the topic.

How we work

From tip to published story

 1. ReportWe gather facts from documents, data and people who were there.

 2. VerifyA second person checks names, numbers, quotes and images.

 3. EditAn editor tightens the story and asks what a reader would still wonder.

 4. Publish and correctErrors are fixed in the open, with a note explaining what changed.
